Gather for conversations by a fireplace in a room of grand proportions. Original character is preserved in the charming architectural details throughout this majestic mansion. Play billiards in a wood-paneled room and stroll acres of private gardens.
The main kitchen is often used by private chefs and has an extensive range of facilities to suit everyone. It has a four oven aga, as well as an electric fan oven, three fridges, freezer and two dishwashers.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available at the property, as well as a hair dryer in each room. An iron and ironing board are also available.
For those wanting to take a dip in the hot tub, we also provide separate towels, flip flops and towelling robes.
The house is yours for your entire stay, so enjoy it and make the most of the property and the gardens.
We welcome all guests on arrival and show them around the house and then return at the end of the visit for the check out and to receive feedback as to how we can continue to improve the experience for future visits. We are also on hand should there be any queries during the trip.

Kingsize bed / En suite shower
The master bedroom with its own secret entrance has double aspect views of the side and back gardens. It offers plenty of natural daylight and an ideal spot to relax and watch the seasons change outside.
King bed & Single day bed x 2 / Shower room (shared with Brassica)
The largest room, it can sleep up to four guests and has a striking four poster bed as its main feature. Tulip is triple aspect, with six large windows making it a very bright and airy room.
King bed & Single day bed / En suite bath & shower
This is the newest room to the collection, designed with a French 16th century theme to the furniture and a four-poster bed. It also has a large en suite with an inviting bath and spacious walk-in shower.
Kingsize bed / Bathroom with bath & shower (shared with Castle)
A stylish king size sleigh style bed is the focus of this room, which is located on the top floor with views across the back garden. A perfect spot for nature watching.
Twin/Super King / Bathroom (shared with Tulip)
Features include a stunning chandelier and high ceiling, as well as a striking fireplace. Although the bathroom is not en suite, it is immediately next door and has a clawfoot bath and fireplace – perfect for a long soak on a wintry evening.
Twin/Super King / Bathroom with bath & shower (shared with Cromarty)
Named because of its views from the top floor of the house across the city to Edinburgh Castle and closer to home it looks down onto the manicured front garden. A spacious double with calming colours.
Twin/Super King / En suite shower
A cosy twin room on the top floor with its own en suite. Slightly masculine in style it also has a hint of tartan to remind you that you’re in Scotland.
Double bed / Shower room (shared with Crichton)
A cosy double room in a quiet spot in the basement with a bit of a shoe theme as part of its interior.
Twin/Super King & Single day bed / Shower room
A spacious triple room in the basement of the house, whilst it doesn’t have an en suite it does have its own bathroom nearby.

Located in the basement this tranquil room is near the hot tub and next to the shower room.
