Nestled in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near Chipping Campden, our traditional Cotswold Stone house is thoughtfully designed with contemporary interiors and modern facilities, offering the perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort.

Ideal for All Occasions

Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a celebration, a business meeting, a team-building retreat, or a hen/stag party, our property is the perfect venue. We also host a limited number of weddings each year, accommodating up to 90 guests. Pets are welcome for a small fee.

Sleeping arrangements

The house can comfortably accommodate up to 28 guests in the 6 ensuite bedrooms (see floor plan in gallery).

First Floor

• Bedroom 1 – Oak 4 poster king size bed and one single bed. Space for up to 2 more single beds (available on request) Ensuite with bath. Max capacity 5 guests
• Bedroom 2 – Oak 4 poster super-king size bed with one single bed. . Space for 1 additional singe bed (available on request). Ensuite with bath and large walk-in shower. Max capacity 4 guests
• Bedroom 3 – Brass king size bed, one single bed and one single sofa bed (made up on request). Space for 1 additional single bed (available on request). Ensuite with bath and large walk-in shower. Max capacity 5 guests

Second Floor

• Bedroom 4 – Super-king size bed, single bed and double sofa bed (this is a snug double). Space for 1 extra single bed (available on request). Ensuite with bath. Maximum capacity 6 guests
• Bedroom 5 – Queen size bed and one single bed. Space for one additional single bed. Ensuite with bath and shower. Maximum capacity 4 guests
• Bedroom 6 – King bed and one single bed. Space for one extra single bed. Ensuite with large walk-in shower. Maximum capacity 4 guests

Outside areas

The terrace and pergola are surrounded by raised flower beds whilst the rest of the garden is laid to lawn providing an area in which to sunbath or play games. There are goal posts, croquet, children’s swings, hockey sticks and rounder bats.

There are 2 barbecues – one gas and one barbecue fuel. Both fuels are provided. There is plentiful outdoor seating, several parasols and 8 sun beds, there is a fire pit with logs supplied.

Other things to note

Soap, shampoo, conditioner and toilet roll are provided in each bathroom, together with towels.

There is a hot tub available to hire. This is suitable for 6 people. There is a £200 charge for the use of the tub so please ask for details. Please bring towels for use with the hot tub.

The house is wonderful throughout the year, whether it is enjoying the sunshine in the summer months or basking in the warmth of a log fire in the chilly winter. We love Christmas at Charingworth and the house will be festively decorated with Christmas trees, candles and decorations throughout December.

Please abide by the house rules regarding noise. No amplifiers are permitted, and we have strict noise rules in consideration of our neighbours. Please ask for further details.

We are happy to discuss the hire of Charingworth House and The Apple Barn (Sleeps 18 with 3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms), which is another one of our properties on site available to book. You can see The Apple Barn listing here.

Combined with The Apple Barn there is accommodation for 46 guests, with some sharing beds. Or 39 guests in separate beds. If you book both houses you will have access to The Granary Barn, which lies adjacent to The Apple Barn. This provides a Party space and large dining area on the ground floor and a full-sized snooker table on the upper floor The Granary Barn also has a projector screen and projector, making it a perfect space for business meetings.

The Granary Barn

Converted during the January 2021 lockdown, The Granary Barn is a versatile space perfect for various activities, including parties, games and business meeting. It is brightly decorated with a projector and large projector screen. There are plentiful tables and chairs to create a charming dining area or business conference room.

Ground Floor: A large open space suitable for dining or activities, with seating for around 50 people at 4 long tables. 120″ screen with a projector that connects via Bluetooth, USB, and HDMI.

First Floor: A games room featuring a full-sized snooker table, football table, poker table, and a chill-out seating area.

The Granary Barn adds valuable habitable space and can be set up for dining or other uses. Please inquire if you have specific activities in mind.
